May 11th to 15th was National Walk to School Week, and the Green School’s Committee in St. Michael’s decided to invite as many as possible to walk to school that week. We all met in the playground each morning at nine and walked down to the school. Approximately 85 pupils and some parents/teachers walked each day with 103 walking on Wednesday – our WOW day. A photograph was taken for the Anglo Celt, prizes were given out and the sun shone every morning!. The whole idea was so successful that we continued to walk for the next two Wednesdays. This is all part of our fourth Green Flag, Transport, and thanks to Mrs. O’Neill and Ms. Quinn for organising it.
