The end performance is an inspirational and thrilling experience for choirs, teachers, parents and audiences alike! Peace Proms is conducted by internationally acclaimed music educators who lead powerful and exhilarating performances alongside a fantastic youth orchestra. Peace Proms brings a shared love for music and passion for peace to ever-greater numbers of children, schools, communities and live audiences Ireland.
St. Michael’s N.S. participation in Peace Proms is biennial. Fifth and sixth class children rehearse for months in preparation for their involvement in Peace Proms. In 2020, the children joined forces with 2,500 other children from schools all over Ireland (North and South) to sing songs such as a Queen Medley, Disney Medley and a Pop Medley at the RDS Dublin. They were joined by the Cross-Border Orchestra of Ireland and famous conductor Greg Beardsell. It was an amazing day; thorough enjoyable for the children, parents and teachers in attendance.
Huge thanks to Ms. Busby, Mrs. Sheenan and Ms. Moore for their commitment to preparing the children for their big performance!
