Coding Week 2021 took place from October 9th to October 21st this year; with St. Michael’s NS actively participating in many coding activities. Our younger classes were gaining some great experience in sequencing and computational thinking through their work with the school’s beebots. Second/Third class really enjoyed using the programming, puzzle app ‘Lightbot’ to develop some basic computer programming skills. Lastly, many of our senior classes have really enjoyed engaging with the Minecraft: Education Edition app which offers an engaging platform for computer science education, with features designed to help students learn to code and apply coding across STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) subjects.
Well done to everyone for their participation!
